For this activity you will be using a fidget spinner and an exercise pie chart to perform a unique circuit workout.

Warm up

  • Right arm across your chest, using your left hand pull your right arm closer to your body for 10 seconds and then switch arms.
  • Arms out to your sides and up like a cross, you’ll make 10 tiny circles with your arm. Then you’ll make 10 medium circles and then 10 huge circles.
  • You’ll bring your feet together and you’ll reach for your toes for 10 seconds
  • Next you’ll spread your feet apart and you’ll reach for your right foot for 10 seconds and then move to your left foot for 10 seconds.

Instructions

In order to create the pie chart, you will need a sheet of paper and something to write with.  Start by drawing a perfect circle as best as you can.  Divide the circle into 8 slices.  Write down any exercises you would like to perform in each of the slices.  Make one of the slices stand for a 30 second water break.Once you have finished creating your pie chart, you need to mark one side of the fidget spinner.  The marked side will act as the pointer for the game.

After creating the pie chart and marking your fidget spinner, you are ready to go.  Place the fidget spinner in the middle of the chart and give it a spin!  Whichever slice the pointer lands on will be the exercise you have to complete.   For an added challenge, use all three points of the fidget spinner as pointers and complete three exercises for that round!  Feel free to customize the exercises and rules to your liking.  Be creative and have fun!

Cool Down

Find a seat on the floor or on a couch or chair. Make sure your back is nice and straight. Close your eyes with your hands on your lap. Take 10 deep breaths. Repeat if needed. You’re all done! Great job! Make sure you drink some water with a healthy snack!
