Use this chart to create your own fall themed story! All you will need is dice!

Roll a dice five times (just one, not the pair) Whatever number you get from your roll, look for it on the first column of this chart. Example: If you roll a 4 on your 3rd roll, the emotion your character will feel in your story would be curious!

Repeat this until you’ve rolled 5 times and have a character, a setting, an emotion, a prop, and a problem to solve! Example: On my first roll, I got a 5 (Jack O’Lantern) on my second roll I got a 1 (corn maze), on my 3rd roll I got a 3 (anxious), on my 4th roll I got a 2 (red leaf) and finally on my 5th roll I got a 4 (I want to eat Thanksgiving Dinner!).

That means my story is: I am a Jack O’Lantern at the corn maze. I am anxious, I have a red leaf. And I also want to eat Thanksgiving Dinner! This could be so many things, and the story could be about how I’ve never gotten the chance to eat Thanksgiving dinner. Every fall season, I rot on the porch after Halloween-the leaves fall all around me. But this year, I will make it my mission to get to dinner-no matter what! No matter if I have to travel far and wide, through a corn maze, anything!

When you’ve rolled 5 times, write your story out in a sentence or two like I did above. Use your imagination and think about who you are, why you may be here, and what you can do to solve your problem. Feel free to add onto your story with more detail!
