Supplies needed:
- Parent/Guardian’s Permission
- You
- box or trash can
- sandwich bags or any bag
- sand or rice
Set up
- Cut a hole in the middle of a box. (Ask parents for assistance) Make sure hole is big enough for the bag to fall into. If using a trash can, no cutting is needed (already has a hole at the top).
- Fill sandwich bags half way with dirt or rice. You just need one but if parents allow it, fill up 3 more.
- Place cornhole in an open area outside. (Just in case the bag opens, the mess will be outside) If you’re using a trash can, make a square around the trash can with shoes, shirts, anything you have.
- Take 10 steps away from the corn hole
- Using one hand, you will toss the bag under hand up and forward aiming for the hole. Don’t throw it overhand.
Points
- If player makes a bag into hole, that’s 3 points.
- If player makes it onto the box but not in the hole, that’s 1 point.
- If a player misses completely, that’s 0 points.
- When using multiple bags, if a bag is on the box, you can use another bag to push the other bag in getting 3 points instead of the 1 point.
- Winner is determined after 3 rounds or until players are content playing.
