Learn to create your own origami lotus flower, but go slowly when unfolding the paper can rip if you unfold the petals too fast.
Materials:
- Origami Paper or paper of your choosing & a pair of scissors
Step 1: Fold your paper in half lengthwise (hamburger & hot dog fold)
Step 2: Unfold and take the bottom right corner of your paper and fold towards the center. Repeat this for all four corners.
Step 3: Take the bottom right corner and fold toward the middle again. Do this for all four corners
Step 4: Take the bottom right corner and fold toward the middle again. Do this for all four corners
Step 5: Flip to the other side
Step 6: Take the bottom right corner and fold toward the middle again. Do this for all four corners
Step 7: Fold down the part of top corner down and then unfold the back slowly to form the petal
Step 8: Continue to fold down the corners and then unfold each of the petals. You must do this slowly in order to not rip the petals. After unfolding the center petals, unfold the next layer of petals and then the bottom ‘leaves’
Step 9: Unfold and do this to the other side
Step 10: Congratulations you have completed your lotus flower!
