Learn to create your own origami lily. Make a bunch to make an entire bouquet
Materials:
- Origami Paper or paper of your choosing & a pair of scissors
Step 1: Fold your paper in half lengthwise (hamburger & hot dog fold), then unfold
Step 2: Triangle fold each side and then unfold
Step 3: Fold the paper back into a triangle shape and lift the corner following the folds that you created then flatten the fold down. Do this on both sides, this will create what is called the Origami Square Base
Step 4: Make sure that the open end is facing the top, then make a kite fold to divide the square into three and then unfold.
Step 5: Take one side of the fold and follow the folds that you made, take one of the sides, lift and flatten down to look like a kite. Do this on both sides
Step 6: Fold the top two corners of the section down and then unfold to form a crease.
Step 7: Open and follow the created folds and slowly press down
Step 8: Fold half of the created kite under the side
Step 9: Repeat steps 5 through 8 for the other three sides
Step 10: The petals of the lily are now on the top of the flower. Using a pen or pencil curl the bottom of the petal around the pencil and then remove the pencil. Do this for all four petals.
Step 11: Once all of the petals have been curled you have finished your lily!
If you want to go a step further you can create stems by rolling extra pieces of paper and then taping the created stem to the lilies. Create even more lilies for a bouquet of origami lily flowers!
