Create your own kite to fly this summer
Materials:
- Paper
- Stapler
- Scissors
- Something to color with
- Kite string, can also try yarn or ribbon
- Glue
- Optional hole puncher with parents’ permission
Steps:
1. Pick a color for your bird
2. Fold your piece of paper in half
3. Fold two corner flaps down to meet the bottom fold, don’t crease
4. Add a staple in about the middle
5. Punch a hole behind your staple on the longer side. Make sure you have your parents’ permission before using the scissors or hole puncher.
6. Decorate your bird. Be creative!
7. Tie the string through the hole
8. Run back and forth with your kite flying behind you, see how high you can make your bird fly
