Capture some summer & the start of fall by creating pressed flowers for decorations or future craft projects.
Materials:
- Flowers
- Heavy books
- Parchment paper
- Scissors
Step 1: Pick flowers that you enjoy for pressing
Step 2: Once you have collected your flowers, bring them back and then take your parchment paper and fold it in half.
Step 3: Unfold your parchment paper and place your flowers on one side of the fold. Clip the stems of your flowers with scissors to help them lay flat.
Step 4: Fold the parchment paper over the top of your flowers.
Step 5: Place the folded parchment paper into the middle of your heavy book
Step 6: Close the book, and if you have more flowers use another sheet of parchment paper and add it to the pages of your book with more flowers to press. Stack more books on top of the book to press the flowers flat. Leave your flowers to press for 4 to 5 days.
Step 7: With pressed flowers you can now do other art projects or decorate!
