All you’ll need to create your own finger puppet show are pipe cleaners, glue/tape, googly eyes, and pom pom balls!
- Pipe cleaners are super fun because you can twist them, turn them in so many different ways! In order to create a pipe cleaner finger puppet you will twist the pipe cleaner around your finger like in the picture below. If you have left over pipe cleaner you didn’t twist around, this can be used to twist into ears, a tail, an arm, anything you want!
- Take your pom pom ball and glue, and glue it to the top part of the pipe cleaner that is at the top of your finger.
- Then, glue the googly eyes onto the pom pom ball. It may help to wrap the pipe cleaner around your finger first, and then take it off so you maintain the shape. Then start gluing the pom pom and googly eyes onto it.
- You can create as many puppets as you want to. Whether they be animals, people, magical creatures, see how they can all interact in their very own puppet show. Written and directed by you!
- Have them enter and exit the “”stage,” talk to one another, and go on a journey! Do they meet for the first time in the show? Or did they already know each other? Do they travel to a new place? Stay home? Think of a story you can act out with your puppets!
