This is a STEM challenge, you can go against one other person, or if more people are participating, divide people into groups to compete. The objective is to see who can create the highest standing tower using marshmallows and uncooked spaghetti pasta.
Materials per group or person:
- 20 pieces of spaghetti
- 20 marshmallows
- 1 foot of tape
Rules:
All of the materials may be modified as the group/person sees fit.
The tower is measured vertically.
You are not allowed to hold up your tower.
Your tower must stand on its own. If it collapses before being measured, you must measure it as it is.
Steps:
- Give everyone 5 minute to plan or sketch a blueprint of their design.
- Next give everyone 25 minutes to build their tower.
- When done, measure the towers and determine who won.
