Mark your place in your favorite book by creating your own ribbon bookmark

Materials:

  1. Ribbon
  2. Button
  3. Hair tie
  4. Needle
  5. Thread
  6. Scissors

Step 1:  Measure the length of ribbon that you want, between 12in to 20in

Step 2:  Thread your needle. Be careful not to poke yourself with the needle.

Step 3:  Place your button on one end of the ribbon, pattern side up.

Step 4:  Sew the button onto the ribbon

Step 5:  Flip the ribbon to the other side and fold the ribbon. Place the hair tie in the pocket fold.

Step 6:  Sew the folded ribbon pieces together to secure the hair tie. 

Step 7:  Congratulations you have finished your bookmark!
