Pop Up Valentine’s Day Card

Create your own unique pop-up Valentine’s Day Card! Show us your Pop-Up Cards in the comments below!

Materials: 

  1. Glue 
  2. Pencil 
  3. Scissors 
  4. Construction paper (2 colors of your choice) 

Instructions: 

Step 1: 

Take your first piece of paper, (this will be the heart pop up), fold it into fourths, and cut. 

Step 2: Take those four pieces of paper and fold them in half horizontally.

Step 3: Trace half a heart onto one side of one of the papers. Cut out the shape.

Step 4: Use the first heart you cut out to trace the same shape on your other pieces of paper. Cut out the other three hearts. You should now have four hearts.

Step 5: Glue the sides of the hearts together. 

Step 6: Take your second piece of construction paper and fold it in half horizontally. Cut it. You will only be needing one of the halves. 

Step 7: Fold that half in half to make the body of your card. 

Step 8: Glue the pop up heart to the inside of your card. Make sure the fold in your heart lines up with the fold of your card. 

You’re done! Decorate it as you’d like. You can also add a message to your heart.
