Materials:

  1. Construction Paper
  2. Glue
  3. Scissors

Step 1: Choose the color you want for the body of your card. You can trim down the piece of construction paper to make your card more square. Fold it in half.

Step 2: Take the card, and on the side with the fold, cut two slits. They should be even.

Step 3: Unfold the card and fold the square you made inward

Step 4: Now take any other color of construction paper and cut out 6 mini hearts. They should be about the size of your glue cap.

Step 5: Add glue to the bottom of a heart and glue the second heart on top. Repeat this to make two groups of three hearts.

Step 6: Take your first stack of hearts and glue it to one side of the slit you made. Then glue the other stack.

Step 7: Fold your card in half. You can see there’s a cut out square when you close it. Take another piece of construction paper, of the same color, and cut it to the same size.

Step 8: Glue that second paper to the front of your card.

Step 9: You’re done! You can decorate your card however you’d like.

Step 10: (OPTIONAL) If you want to, punch a hole to the right side of your closed card. Put a ribbon through it, and tie it. Now your card can stay closed.
